Host a screening of the award-winning documentary In The Name Of Your Daughter by Canadian filmmaker and network member, Giselle Portenier. This inspiring film tells the story of the brave Tanzanian who girls risk their lives to run away from female genital mutilation.

Follow with a Q and A with the director or local resource persons.

  • Host a Panel Discussion

Find local resource persons and host a panel discussion in your workplace, your hospital, your school, your city hall.

FGM/C is an issue that is being neglected in Canada. We have thousands of individuals who have experienced FGM/C or are at risk and yet little is being done to support survivors or put protective measures in place. We are calling on the federal government to establish a National Action Plan to End FGM/C in Canada. Use this letter template and demand more of your government on the issue of FGM/C.
